Here are two brilliant whipped cream recipes to spoil yourself with this summer…
1. Irish Coffee
Perfect for that extra kick at the end of a meal…
1 shot of Bailey’s Irish cream Liqueur (or similar)
150ml filter coffee
For the whipped cream:
1 shot of Whiskey
1 tbsp filter coffee
50ml double cream
- In a tall coffee glass, mix the Irish cream and 150 ml of filter coffee.
- Add the whiskey, remaining coffee and double cream to your whipper, screw the lid on tightly and insert your cream charger. Shake for 1-2 minutes so the ingredients mix well, and then squirt the whipped cream on top of your coffee.
2. Summer Berry Sauce
400g mixed red berries (if using frozen, remember to leave out for 2 hours to defrost)
100g caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
- Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and heat over a low flame for 8-10 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved and the berries are very soft.
- Pass the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing the fruit down to extract as much juice and flavour as possible, then discard the lumps of fruit. Cool to serve.
